Master Chef of Great Britain , Philip Leach, is committed to using the highest quality fresh local produce from the lush abundance of the Otter Valley and many herbs and vegetables are hand picked from Combe’s own lovingly tended high walled Kitchen Garden. Fresh meat and fish is all sourced locally wherever possible from West Country suppliers and dry cured bacon, pancetta and chorizos are specialities of Combe House. We also cure and smoke our own salmon and sea trout! When it comes to wines, the ancient cellars at Combe House are stocked with a well-chosen selection from all over the world and the wine list features a special collection of fine Chablis to complement Philip’s style of cuisine perfectly. |

Combe House itself is a wildly romantic Elizabethan Manor set in 3,500 acres of one of Devon’s finest estates where beautiful Arabian horses and pheasants roam freely. At the end of the mile long drive is the village of Gittisham, film location for a Rosamunde Pilcher novel and described by Prince Charles as the ‘Ideal English Village’ with its thatched cottages, Norman Church and Village Green – a veritable time warp. Combe is easily accessible, just off the A30 from London to Exeter. |
