Combe House itself is a wildly romantic Elizabethan Manor set in 3,500 acres of one of Devon’s finest estates where beautiful Arabian horses and pheasants roam freely. At the end of the mile long drive is the village of Gittisham, film location for a Rosamunde Pilcher novel and described by Prince Charles as the ‘Ideal English Village’ with its thatched cottages, Norman Church and Village Green – a veritable time warp. Combe is easily accessible, just off the A30 from London to Exeter.
